Originally from England, Darelle moved to New Zealand in 2010 and has worked in the Hospitality and Tourism sector since. Darelle has extensive knowledge in the backpacker Sector, having worked for Base Backpackers throughout the country where she was General Manager of 3 different properties. She also held a position on both the Accommodation Advisory Council and the BYATA board and recently contributed to defending the accommodation sector against the Auckland targeted rate. In her spare time, you will find her with a glass of Central Otago Pinot (not fussed on colour) in hand, whilst tucking into a cheese board.
