Jeremy Stevens

Originally from the United Kingdom Jeremy migrated to Queenstown in 2009 and quickly fell in love with the local Hospitality Scene. Over his 4 years in Queenstown he managed the iconic Bordeaux wine bar and later moved into the bar operation manager for the Good Group. Moving to Christchurch in December 2013 Jeremy took on the postion of General Manager at Aikmans in Merivale which was then owned by the Good Group of Queenstown. After 18 months he branched out of venues and took on a role as Regional account manager for luxury brand group Moet Hennessey.

In May 2018 Jeremy decided to get back into the hospitality side of the business and joined partnerships with local businessman Frank Van Schaijik. They both took ownership of Aikmans and made major improvements to the fit out and offering. In 2020 Jeremy & Frank opened Mr Brightside Rooftop Bar in the stunning Public Trust building on Oxford Terrace in a joint venture with Adam Wood who previously worked under Jeremy at Aikmans.

Later in 2022 Brigittes Cafe of Merivale came up for sale for the second time since 1976 and he decided it was a great opportunity to once again improve the fit out and offering to a well established Christchurch venue. Jeremy offered his executive chef the opportunity of joining this project with some ownership in the same way he did with Adam and Mr Brightside.
