Peter Morrison

For over 35 years, Peter Morrison has attributed his whole career to the hospitality industry, especially in the accommodation sector and to the many organisations where Peter holds various executive roles, including his current role as a member of our national board and our national treasurer.

In the mid 1970s Peter started his career as a management trainee for Lion Nathan (as it is now known) gaining invaluable experience from various hotels. His first Managers job was the Gables Tavern in Herne Bay, Auckland. He moved to New Plymouth in 2001 and managed the State Establishment (Cobb & Co) and Westown Motor Hotel and then moved to Christchurch in 1986. From the early 90s, Peter started his own company called Morrison Hospitality Management Ltd, where he continued to manage the Hotel Russley after becoming one of the owners.

Since the mid 90s, Peter's company has successfully owned and managed a number of accommodation, bar and restaurant establishments.
