Tony Bullot


Tony and his wife Tina Bullot own and operate 850 Cameron Motel, a 22-unit 4 star plus motel in Tauranga.

Purchasing the Motel in late 2015, Tony and Tina are 1st time Moteliers but lifetime hospitality people.

Tony began his career cooking in the Ponsonby road restaurants of the mid 80’s with Chefs he remembers as having more than a passing resemblance to Gordon Ramsey in “Hells Kitchen”.

Although kitchen management in New Zealand has thankfully come a long way since the 80’s, this baptism of fire did build a resilience that held Tony in good stead through his next 13 years as Executive Chef in Hotels, restaurants and catering operations in NZ, Australia, Papua New Guinea and China, and 7 years in International hotel management in China.

When Tony is not hosting guests, he can be found (sustainably) fishing, spearfishing and generally enjoying the best country in the world.
