Coronavirus: Hospitality NZ releases comprehensive Industry Toolkit for affected businesses

In response to the ever changing COVID-19 situation and the Prime Minister's announcement on Saturday of significant boarder restrictions in particular, Hospitality New Zealand have formulated an Industry Toolkit for members covering a range of relevant factors to consider in relation to COVID-19 and their businesses.

This resource is to function as a guide and the information is subject to change as events transpire.

Further announcements are expected the week of 16th March 2020 in regards to restrictions on gatherings, as well as elaboration by the Government into the previously announced wage subsidies. Updates will be made to the toolkit in reflection of these announcements.

The sad realisation at this current time is that the New Zealand hospitality industry will be hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and some businesses will come under significant pressure and potentially may not survive the financial impacts.

With this in mind, Hospitality New Zealand advises all members to carefully read through the Toolkit provided and consider the potential impacts to their businesses.

As always, Hospitality New Zealand are available to answer any questions of which we are currently able and invite you to contact your Regional Manager on 0800 500 503.
