Essential Skills in Demand Submission

Hospitality New Zealand met with Immigration New Zealand at Easter, who informed us that Cafe and Restaurant Managers will not be returned to the Immediate Skills Shortage List, following the recent review which Hospitality New Zealand submitted on.

INZ will be releasing the documents and rationale relating to this decision in mid-May, and we will distribute this information to members as soon as it is released. While this is disappointing, work visas for those occupations can still be obtained through the current process where there is evidence of genuine shortages. We will continue to work with INZ and other agencies, and advocate on your behalf, on the people and skills shortages our industry faces.
